| A Change of Hands |
Early last week something interesting happened in the wonderful world of Cipher, and you may have seen the announcement if you frequent the forum. However, for our users who log on for the fiction and not the babble, I thought I would share it with you here as well.
On a quiet Tuesday afternoon, I – the Great Babbler Ky – became the official new owner of this fantastic site. There were many reasons for this change, but most importantly, I should mention that it is because our darling Morrighan is about to finish her novel, and needs to dedicate her time to working on getting it published. The rest of us can then read it and say, “I chatted with her at two in the morning when she was far beyond tired,” or “She tore me a new one in validation.”
Though it may appear sudden, this was not an easy decision; it took months of private messages, emails, and even a few of the forum posts for this decision to be reached and finalized.
What changes will this bring? Well, let me assure you that Cipher will continue to be the welcoming community that it always has been for writers of both fanfiction and original fiction. Cipher is a home for many of us, both in the forum and on the fiction side, and I hope to draw the two together while continuing to maintain the quality of writing that we have always had.
In other words, I hope that you, our writers and our readers, continue to be happy on Cipher under my reign.
However, all that being said, I thought I would ask you, Cipher’s wonderful readers, to let me know if there is anything that we can do or offer you. Like always, Cipher works as a team, and I will propose any ideas suggested to the admins to see if we can accommodate your wishes. If you have suggestions please email me at ky@cipher-wotr.com or post to the Forum under the post Community Opinions. To post on the forum you will need to register, and we would love more of you to do so.
Thank you, all of you who have helped make this a site I am proud to call myself owner of. Especially, thank you Morrighan, for creating this wonderful place that we have played in and called home for all this time. I will take good care of her.

| I know you're here for me, Morr, and it makes all of this A LOT less stressful. *snicker* And please, I blush when you thank me, because I feel I should be kissing your feet for all that you have done. A decade ago I had an internet home, and I haven't had one since - that is until I found Cipher. Your creation. I will nurture it like my baby... but it is your vision that started it all. I will never forget that, and I will make sure that nobody else does either. *kisses* |
